The "Chief Minister's Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2023" is a visionary initiative aimed at addressing the issue of unemployment and fostering inclusive progress in the state. Under this initiative, the government is taking the inaugural step to lay the foundation for a brighter future. The key objective is to enable unemployed youth to become self-reliant by providing them with the necessary resources, guidance, and support. This includes training programs, financial assistance, and access to markets.
Click on the “Sign-up” button on the upper right corner of the CMAAA portal, provide the applicant name, email id (optional), mobile number, and password, and then click on submit. Please note that the applicant's name should be as per employment exchange and the mobile number cannot be changed throughout the application process.
Applicants can register for CMAAA only after completion of the sign-up process in the portal. For registration, applicants need to login into the CMAAA portal and fill up the online application form by providing the applicant's basic details, educational qualification, bank details and uploading a passport-size photograph. After successful registration, the applicant gets the system-generated acknowledgment receipt.
Yes, applicants need to note down the application reference number (ARN) which is required for applying for the scheme later on as and when notified by the Government of Assam. An application reference number is also sent to the applicant's registered mobile number through SMS.
The following are the eligibility criteria for applying for the scheme:
i. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam and above 28 years and below 40 years as on 1st April 2023 (the upper age limit is relaxed to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category).
ii. The applicant should possess the educational qualification as -
a. Minimum qualification Class X Pass for general category (For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC: up to class X)
b. ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma in other Technical Courses, Post Graduates
c. Degree Holders in Professional courses like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture, etc.
d. The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., to undertake income-generating activities.
iii. The applicants should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31st December 2023.
iv. The applicant should have not defaulted any loan taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.
v. Not more than one member from any family shall be eligible for availing benefit under this scheme.
vi. The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
The registration link for "Chief Minister's Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2023" will open from 23/09/2023 till 07/11/2023.
For registration under the scheme, applicant's passport size photograph is required to be uploaded in the online portal.
To apply for the scheme, the applicant must be of age between 28 years to 40 years as on 1st April 2023 (upper age limit is relaxed to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category).
